1、议论文话题一.西方教育真正重视的技能和素质1.gain knowledge about.获取关于的知识：告别中式英语中国同学们在教育类作文里最爱用的“短语”之一就是learn knowledge🙅，可惜它是典型的Chinglish，因为在地道英语里learn和knowledge这两个单词不能搭配到一起，Pat在北京的native speakers朋友们一说起中国孩子们写的learn knowledge就会frown（皱眉头）（1）increase their knowledge about增加他们关于的知识（2）broaden their knowledge about.扩展他

2、们关于的知识（3）deepen their knowledge about深化他们关于的知识Test Tip:动宾短语所特有的积极行动意味能够让论证读起来感觉更实际、不空洞，是帮助中国同学们避免论证“空洞感的好方法。文化背景：获取知识当然重要，但从在英语国家开始上学的第一天起，你就会立刻感到：这里的学校对于social skills（社会交往能力），life skills（生活技能）和artistic skills（艺术才能）这三种技能的重视程度丝毫不亚于学校对于academic skills（学术技能）的重视。中国同学们在思考教育类的论证理由时要特别注意不能忽视前面3个西方教育同样也很重视的

4、）get good grades / achieve good grades学习成绩好要写“提升”学生们的学业表现，动词可以用improve或者boost要写“降低学生们的学业表现，动词可以用lower(v.t.)（3）improve their academic skills增强他们的学术技能（4）maths skills / mathematical skills数学技能（5）foreign language skills外语技能（6）reading and writing skills读写技能（7）computer skills计算机技能（8）analytical skills分析技能（
