8、eneficiation:Economic Modeling,Analysis and Case Studies8CLM-06-03:Fine Coal Beneficiation Joint Venture ProjectParticipating Partners:India and the U.S.India needs a cost effective process for washing fine coal that minimizes water and costly reagents.The new process will be tried first on coking c
9、oal due to the coals low ash requirement and high value.9Workshop held at Indian Institute of Coal Management,Ranchi in August 2007 included this topic.Funding for a advanced fine coal cleaning demonstration project,developed jointly by the US Department of Energys Office of Fossil Energy,and Indias
10、 Ministry of Coal,approved by Coal India Ltd(CIL)-April 2008.Project team includes:Virginia Techs Center for Advanced Separation Technologies,and CILs Central Mine Planning and Design Institute along with Bharat Coking Coal Ltd.Total Project cost is Rs.271.424 million($6,399,000USD)Discussions on im
