1、语法专题（四）情态动词一、情态动词的基本含义1 .表示力量用 can, could, be able to。留意：can与be able to常可互换，但也有不行互换的状况：can可用于人或物作主语的句子中，但be able to只能由有生命的名词作主语。can只有一般现在时和一般过去时（could）,但be able to可以用于一般现在时、一般过去时、将来时、 完成时。还可用于非谓语动词短语。be able t。用于过去时表示经过一番努力才能做到，一般用确定句和疑问句，不能用could代替。如： After doing more practice, he was able to speak
