A red X meant that in a few seconds, there was a chance that they would receive a mild electric shock on their leg. Jim and colleagues found that when participants thought they might be getting a shock, they had a lower stress

And the happier the couples said they were in their relationships, the more the romantic partners hand lessened (减弱)the brains response to the shock. This study suggests that when were stressed, hol
