Amanda drew pictures for her, read to her, and made funny faces, but none worked. Whenever she got close, Li ran away.“I just wish I knew how to help her,“ Amanda said to h
10、erself, thinking of Li s frightened eyes. As she sat onto the couch, she turned on the TV and began to watch a cartoon about a dog and a cat. After a few seconds, Amanda realized that the cartoon was in another language. The show looked funny, but she didn t understand any of it. She frowned, turnin
