2、PPG were different manufacturers Only LJF logo and link to website was included on main pages This is now corrected LJF wrote to Airbus advising the they were ceasing production of PR1422 and Airbus noted this for ALL PR1422 references Airbus created guidance for users to show which products are cur

3、rently in use by Airbus Inserted the following phrase on CML No Longer Used by Airbus CML ISSUES Operators Could not see PPG reference on CML-Resolved Operators found that PR1422 has a NO LONGER MADE note Competition told customers that older PPG products could not be used in airline maintenance Lig

4、ht weight sealants are listed in a different section of the CML to traditional products PPG LISTED AS MANUFACTURE,LJF IS DELEGATE PR1422 LISTING AS NO LONGER MADE-WRONG This statement is INCORRECT Airbus needed to communicate LJF position but did not want a contradictory statement about PPG that may

5、 cause confusion Recommendation is to replace the statement with NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN THE EU The current statement is time limited until year-end 2013 and can then be changed PR1422 can still be used in MRO and Airlines “NO LONGER USED BY AIRBUS”STATEMENT This DOES NOT mean the product cannot be u

7、HT SEALANTS Older technology products contain no light weight fillers In MRO it is common to use A or B grades for interfay repairs Airbus does not allow light weight fillers to be used in interfay Therefore PR1782 A and B grades were listed in a different part of the CML to prevent them being used

8、in Interfay PR1782 is fully approved and can be used on ALL aircraft but is listed separately in the CML 09-062 Sealant,Low Density PR 1782 B:contain Holospheres,NOT TO BE USED AS INTERFAY SEALANT PRODUCT TO BE USED WITH ADHESION PRIMER PR 148,OR PR 148F PR 1782 B,A300/A310/A318/A319/A320/A321/A330/

9、A340/A380/A400.ONGOING ACTIONS Discussions continue to resolve the PR1422 wording issue Addition of PR1776MB and PR1783 to happen in 2013 Closer contact and engagement from local sales team in Toulouse Addition of PR1425CF to happen ASAP ADVICE TO AIRLINES Anything listed on CML CAN be used in maint

10、enance(see next slide)PR1422 can still be used on Airbus aircraft there is NO objection from Airbus Use the statement in the previous slide from Francois Museux to support that airlines can use older products READ Engineering Service Bulletins relating to REACh and Airbus Refer customers to local Airbus rep for clarification Get to know your local Airbus representative and use them
