8、sinvirtuallyeverycountry,richandpoor.Personalincome,taxrevenue,profitsandpricesdropped.whileinternationaltradeplungedbyto.UnemploymentintheU.S.roseto25%,andinsomecountriesroseashighas33%.Citiesallaroundtheworldwerehithard,especiallythosedependentonheavyindustry.Constructionwasvirtuallyhaltedinmanyco
9、untries.Farmingandruralareassufferedascroppricesfellbyapproximately60%.Facingplummetingdemandwithfewalternatesourcesofjobs,areasdependentonprimarysectorindustriessuchascashcropping,miningandloggingsufferedthemost.Someeconomiesstartedtorecoverbythemid-1930s.However,inmanycountriesthenegativeeffectsof
