31、有内容，还必须再现原文的语气、文体特征和专业特点，使英汉两个版本发挥类似的功能并实现相同的交际目的。商务英语翻译总的要求是意义必须精确、简练，情态语气必须恰当、得体，表述方式必须地道、贴切、严密。就合同契约类语篇的翻译而言，除以上要求外，还需表现其严谨性、规范性、合法性，避免结构松散、条文粗糙、表述含混等弊端。2023/3/1311）词汇层面必须做到对原文用词准确理解并在译文中精确传译准确性是商务英语翻译的第一要求，这个要求包括对商务术语、一词多义现象和数字概念等的准确解读和翻译。The shipping documents for the consignment are now with u

34、形式规定承建商在承建的生产设施准备投入运行时移交给业主。2023/3/133另外我们还需要注意一词多义现象，这类词汇和短语经常成为商务翻译的陷阱，曼容易被误解和误译。例如：The organization-wide strategic planning process consists of(1)defining the organizations mission，(2)setting organizational objectives，(3)conducting an organizational port folio analysis，and(4)designing organizatio

35、nal strategic to achieve the objectives错误译文：企业战略计划过程包括(1)确定企业的任务，(2)确定企业的目标，(3)进行组织文件分析，(4)制定实现目标的策略。析：此例句中(3)conducting an organizational port folio analysis被译成“进行组织文件分析”，属于误译。port folio此处不是文件，而是有价证券，因此(3)应改译为：进行公司有价证券分析。2023/3/134我们还需注意原文中的数字。数字概念是商务信函、合同、报告等商务英语文件及商务谈判中涉及的时间、价格、数量、金额和规格等最重要的数据，在翻

36、译时必须慎重处理，不能出差错，否则可能给公司带来惨重的损失。比如：Party A shall be unauthorized to accept any orders on and after September 20译文：自9月20 日起，甲方已无权接受任何定单。析：英语使用“On and after+时间”这样的双介词短语实际上是指包含当天日期在内的起止时间，因此应译为“自9月20日起”。Party B shall ship the goods within one month of the date of signing this Contract,i.e.not later than

37、December 15 译文：本合同签字之日一个月内，即不迟于12月15日，你方须将货物装船。数字概念中的金额的翻译尤其需要引起注意。例如我们需要正确区分“$”和“”，因为“$”既可代表“美元”，又可代表其他国家和地区的货币，而中间的差额非常大。如果在翻译报盘信函时粗心，把US$(美元)译成了HK$(港币)，那就会造成巨额损失，至少会引起不必要的纠纷。另外，翻译中还要留意金额中使用的是小数点()还是逗号(，)，以便能够精确传达原意。2023/3/1352023/3/136此外，为避免金额数量的差漏、伪造或涂改，商务英语文书常常在用阿拉伯数字表示金额之后在括号内用英文大写文字重复该金额。大写文字

38、前加上“SAY”，意思是“大写”；在最后加上“ONLY”，意思是“整”。注意小写与大写的金额数量的译文要一致。例如：Party A shall pay Party B a monthly salary of US$500(SAY FIVE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ONLY)译文：聘方须每月付给受聘方美元500元整。2023/3/1372 2）语法层面必须做到译文的简洁、严密和庄重语法层面必须做到译文的简洁、严密和庄重前面我们已经说过，商务英语语句具有简洁、严密的特点，注重表达效果的准确性、时效性和逻辑性。首先，我们应当准确解读原文各句的语法意义和语用意图，把握原文中直接易懂、简洁

39、凝练的句子结构。汉译时则要尽量避免罗嗦、迂腐等，尽可使用汉语中的委婉词语、文言句式或介词结构等，这样的译文就显得既简洁晓畅，又庄重老练。2023/3/138下面各句的译文对这一要求把握得很好：它们或者使用“敬希”、“恳请”等汉语公文体中常用的客套委婉词语，或者使用“凡属须于”、“鉴于，”等文言文句式，采用典型的介词结构，因此能使译文的语意更为确切、严密、周详和规范。2023/3/139Please look into the matter immediately译文：恳请速查明此事。You are kindly requested to act accordingly as soon as p

45、mpanies marketing Star Wars错误译文：举例来说，卢卡斯制片公司承担了影片星球大战的部分销售任务。析：此句译文中由于没有注意sales(销售额)、sale(销售)的单复数差异而导致明显的误译；把receives a percentage of the sales(收取一定百分比的销售额作为抽成)看作是“承担部分销售任务”了。正确译文：举例来说，卢卡斯制片公司通过其他公司推销星球大战的拷贝从销售额中按一定比例抽成。2023/3/146英语中名词单、复数歧义是个独特的语法现象，如不加注意，往往会造成误译，在外贸函电中尤为如此。又如imports&exports应是“进出口商

46、品”或是“进出口额”，而 import&export为“进 出 口 业 务”之 意。shipment(装运、装船)与shipments(装运的货)，stock(库存、存货)与stocks(库存量)，engagement(承诺)与engagements(承担的义务)，damage(损坏)与damages(损坏赔偿金)等等名词的单数和复数所表达的意义完全不一样，应当注意。2023/3/147翻译下列句子，注意用词用句的准确性。1）In some cases the MNC retains a minority of interest，in others the host country owns
