17、LS（对指定学校官员的指导）1.The law provides severe penalties for knowingly and willfully falsifying or concealing a material fact or using any false document in the submission of this form.Designated school officials should consult regulations pertaining to the issuance of Form I-20 A-B at 8 CFR (K)before comp

18、leting this form.Failure to comply with these regulations may result in the withdrawal of the school approval for attendance by foreign students by the Immigration and Naturalization Service(8 CFR.【1.在填写本表时，如有任何知情或有意的谎填、隐瞒事实或提供虚假证明的情况，法律会予以严惩。在填表前，校方人员应参阅 8 CFR 214.3(k)，有关签发 I-20 A-B 表的相关规定。若不予执行相关法

19、规，移民局将根据(8 CFR 214.4)否决学校对学生入学的批准。】2.ISSUANCE OF FORM I-20 A-B.Designated school officials may issue a Form I-20 A-B to a student who fits into one of the following categories,if the student has been accepted for full-time attendance at the institution:a)a prospective F-1 nonimmigrant student;b)an F

20、-1 transfer student;c)an F-1 student advancing to a higher educational level at the same institution;d)an out of status student seeking reinstatement.The form may also be issued to the dependent spouse or child of an F-1 student for securing entry into the United States.When issuing a Form I-20 A-B,

24、icial should always forward the top page of the form I-20 A-B to the INS data processing center at.Box 140,London,Kentucky 40741 for data entry except when the form is issued to an F-1 student for initial entry or reentry into the United States,or for reinstatement to student status.(Requests for re

28、.ADMISSION RECORDS.Since the Immigration and Naturalization Service may request information concerning the students immigration status for various reasons,designated school officials should retain all evidence which shows the scholastic ability and financial status on which admission was based,until

32、re authorized to stay in the United States for the entire length of time during which you are enrolled as a full-time student in an educational program and any period of authorized practical training plus sixty days.While in the United States,you must maintain a valid foreign passport unless you are

33、 exempt from passport requirements.You may continue from one educational level to another,such as progressing from high school to a bachelors program or a bachelors program to a masters program,etc.,simply by invoking the procedures for school transfers.【2.入学：非移民学生可以 D/S(Duration of Status)身份入学，即：你可

34、以合法在美国停留的时间长度是：你以全时学生身份在某一教育项目的全部学习长度加上任何授权的实习期以及额外的60 天的总和。在美期间，除非你已获得护照条件的豁免，否则你必须要保证持有有效的外国护照。只要办妥转学手续，就可以在美国继续学习，如从高中攻读本科或从本科攻读硕士等。】3.SCHOOL.For initial admission,you must attend the school specified on your visa.If you have a Form I-20 A-B from more than one school,it is important to have the n

35、ame of the school you intend to attend specified on your visa by presenting a Form I-20 A-B from that school to the visa issuing consular officer.Failure to attend the specified school will result in the loss of your student status and subject you to deportation.【3.学校。首次入境的学生必须到签证中规定的学校入学。若你有多个学校的 I

36、-20 表格，那么在签证写出你即将入学的学校名称即可，无须将 I-20 A-B 表格出示给签证官。若你没有到签证中规定的学校入学，你就会失去学生身份并被驱逐出境。】4.REENTRY.A nonimmigrant student may be readmitted after a temporary absence of five months or less from the United States,if the student is otherwise admissible.You may be readmitted by presenting a valid foreign pass

37、port,a valid visa,and either a new Form I-20 A-B or a page 4 of the Form I-20 A-B(the I-20 ID Copy)properly endorsed for reentry if the information on the I-20 form is current.【4.再次入境。非移民类学生临时离开美国 5 个月或更长时间，若能够得到允许则可再次入境美国。出示有效的外国护照、签证以及为能够再次入境办理的新的 I-20 A-B 表格或 I-20 A-B 表格的第 3 和第 4 页（即 I-20 A-B 表格的

38、复印件）都有可能再次入境，但新的 I-20 A-B 表格中必须有背书，表格中应填写最新信息。】5.TRANSFER.A nonimmigrant student is permitted to transfer to a different school provided the transfer procedure is followed.To transfer school,you should first notify the school you are attending of the intent to transfer,then obtain a Form I-20 A-B fr

39、om the school you intend to attend.Transfer will be effected only if you return the Form I-20 A-B to the designated school official within 15 days of beginning attendance at the new school.The designated school official will then report the transfer to the Immigration and Naturalization Service.【5.转

41、 a grace period in a single educational level,or for more than eight consecutive years,you must apply for extension of stay.An application for extension of stay on a Form I-538 should be filed with the Immigration and Naturalization Service district office having jurisdiction over your school at lea
