1、课程理论与实践About the Early Years Foundation Stage 1. In Childcare Act 2006,the government converted that commitment into law ,and orders and regulations.It means that Childcare Act will bring it into force from September 2008. 2. The government’s 10-year strategy is The Early Years Foundation Stag

2、e(EYFS).It deliver improved outcomes for children and helps chose the achievement gap between disadvandage children and others. 3. All early years providers who must register will have a key role to play in delivering the framework ,supporting individual childern’s development and enabling mos

3、t children to achieve the Early Learning Goals at the end of The Early Foundation Stage. 4. EYFS has an important role to play in helping children achieve all five of the Every Child Matters outcomes. To stay safe ,be healthy,enjoy ,achieve and make a positive contribution and achieve economic well-

4、being in the future. 5. The framework specifies both the requirements for learning and development and those for children’s welfare from birth to five. 6. This document is intended principally for those engaged inplanning for,inspecting and monitoring the effectiveness of early years provision

5、. 1.2 Principles underpinning EYFS 7. EYFS of the content is familiar to practitioners previously using these frameworks. (1) the central importance of parents and families (2) the importance of a key person to develop independence (3) the recognition and the importance to their development of relat

10、S 1、The framework itself contains tow main elements: the statutory EYFS document and a CD-ROM2、The statutory EYFS document covers what providers must do in order to deliver provision and practical guidance Covering bothlearningand development and welfare requirements. It will be clear that the docum

11、ent is describing good practice, but not a statutory requirement. 3、section 2 EYFS OverviewThis section show how the welfare and learning and development requirements support one another. setting outthe importance of partnership working 4、section 3 progression through the Areas of learning and devel

12、opment This section covers more-detailed guidance about how they should be delivered. The guidance sets out practical ways for practitioners to enable all children to participate, enjoy and achieve in a rich ,play-based curriculum,indoors and outdoors,with a planned balance of adult-led and child-in

13、itiated activity. The section is arranged around four areas: (1) Development matters (2) Look,listen and note (3) Effective practice (4) Planing and resourcing All six Areas should be used together to provide appropriate provision for each child.they are: (1) Personal,Social and Emtongal and Develop

14、ment (2) Communication,Language and Literacy (3) Problem Solving,Reasoning and Numeracy (4) Knowledge and Understanding of the World (5) Physical Deveiopment (6) Creative Development5、section 4 Meeting the welfare requirement The areas covered by the welfare requirement are: (1) safeguarding and pro

15、moting children’s welfare (2) suitable people (3) suitable premises , environment and equipment (4) organization 6、section 5 Registration , inspection and quality improvement It gives guidance on how providers can use self-reflection and ongoing improvement mechanisms to extend the quality of

16、their provision The CD-ROM 1、 The CD-ROM willfurther support and guidance for practitioners. 2、 The CD-ROM will provide resources , provided in form of video material of effective practice,useful document and resoures,relevant resource reports and websites.The CD-ROM will include the following: (1) Planning for individual children (2) Information on key themes,such as:observation and assessment , inclusive practice , parents as parterns , outdoor learning , effective transitions , creativity thinking , key workers and secure attachment , childdevelopment , multi-agency working.
