9、ever, he was an active, fun-loving young man-about-town.He had spent most of his life trying to remove the devil from his heart which was not fitting for a man of his stature.After much thought, he finally decided to create a drug that could give each side of his character its own separate face and

10、body.Then, he bravely drank the drug and successfully transformed himself into the smaller, younger, cruel, remorseless, evil Edward Hyde.Dr.Jekyll enjoyed his secret very much-but not for ever after.As time went by, Mr.Hyde grew in power.After taking the drug repetitively, Dr.Jekyll no longer neede

29、另一本著作金银岛，所以在看到书名时就把它当作一个中篇冒险小说来看，哪知越看越恐怖。 本书由一起杀人案记起，讲解并描述伦敦的一名律师厄塔森在侦破此案时觉察了一个惊天大隐私：杀人凶手海德其实时由著名科学家杰基尔，为躲避自己来自于债务、商业和婚姻的多重压力而研制处一种可以令人短暂性的完全变身为另一个人，包括心理。变身后的博士成为了一特性格火爆的人，自我意识告知他这个身体的名字是海德，起初他还有所克制，可随着长期服用药物，使得他的心理被完全转变为一个变态杀人，通过杀人来释放自己的心。厄塔森在觉察隐私后惨遭杀害，而博士也因为药物的缘由无法再次变回博士本人了。结尾很简洁，只有一句：“从今以后，杰基尔博士不
