3、st of Phoeni*,where sunshine can be received 312 days a year.It is famous for the active lifestyle of the elderly living in it.Sun City has a 1200-acre golf course,so it is also called a paradise for golfers.It is surrounded by Lake Pleasant Regional Park,White Tanks Regional Park and Arizona Primit

4、ive Life History Museum.Community construction began in 1961,and it has become one of the best elderly communities in America.The residents here must be over 55 years old,and the accompanying persons under 18 years old cant live more than 30 days a year.Provide shopping places with complete goods in

5、 the community,complete services including catering,postal and religious services,professional medical services and rich entertainment and leisure services.Sun City covers an area of 37.8k,including 37.6km2 of land and 0.2km2 of water.Sun City was built in 1960 by Del Webb Company,and basically comp

6、leted after 20 years of development.The sun is shining,the climate is dry and there is little rain in the city,which is suitable for the elderly to live in,and it has all the facilities and regulations that are convenient for the elderly to live.2.Sun City has e*perienced 20 years of development his

7、tory.In 1959,Del Webb Company began to build communities,first a commercial center,then a golf course and an entertainment center.This model-building a small community close to commercial and entertainment facilities,has also become the object of planning and learning for all old-age communities.Bef

8、ore the opening of the market,Del Webb had done five things:a model house with an.appropriate price,entertainment and craft facilities,a hotel with a good restaurant,a post office,and a business center.Del Webb regards entertainment facilities,golf courses and commercial facilities as the key to the

16、partment for the Aged in Amsterdam,Netherlands designed by MVRDV has formed a.unique architectural form of overhanging residential buildings as shown in the figure.The western garden city of Amsterdam,which was built in 1950s and 1960s,faced the threat of the reduction of public green space with the

17、 rapid growth of population density,thus making the urban area lose its most valuable quality.As part of the innovation,a 100-family condominium is planned to be built on a strip of land.This is regarded as a supplementary type of apartment for middle-aged and elderly people.According to the living

18、background of elderly families,this apartment requires a high level of independence for its residents.This is a 100-unit residential apartment designed for the elderly.In order to maintain the characteristics of the city as a garden city and increase the green area,the floor area of the building has

19、 been pressed to a minimum.At the same time,according to the local regulations on building height and sunshine time,only 87 of 100 households can be solved under the available floor area and height.How can the remaining 13 households be solved?Under the impact of various constraints,une*pected inspi

20、ration came into being:the remaining 13 apartments for the elderly were hung on the north side of the building,which not only increased the ground floor open space area,but also obtained e*citing architectural landscape,and solved the problem of how to create space without volume through cantilever

21、in three-dimensional space.The facade of the north side was originally made of glass and steel,but now it has been broken by five hanging units with a span of 11.3 m.This principle of randomness and freedom also affects the outer wall of the south side which is made of wooden materials,and adds more

22、 vitality to the building through the balcony enclosed by colored ple*iglass.The economic layout of the main building can save 7%-8%of the cost,which is enough to compensate 50%of the e*penditure of the cantilever unit with higher cost.Iii.Old-age Center in Oellas,Portugal This project is located be

23、tween a high low-income residential area and many public buildings in the lower part of the valley.Compared with the surrounding building environment,it presents different social,functional and physical properties,and at the same time shows the characteristics of both private and public.Architecture

24、 represents a language different from the surrounding environment,so it creates a strong identity authentication through unique colors and materials.60 houses are arranged in two rows,facing east and west,occupying four interconnected floors.Iv.Hodos Senior Center in Slovenia.Hodos Senior Center is

25、located in the center of Hodos town.Together with schools and government buildings,it forms a community activity system.Besides ordinary rooms for the elderly,it also includes public spaces for others.The design presents a clear L shape,and the first floor is red brick,which complements the surround

26、ing red roofs and creates a modern atmosphere.V.Lauding Apartment for the Aged VI.Apartments for the Elderly in Austria Apartments for the elderly and social centers are arranged along the east-west a*is,dividing the base into two outdoor venues.The public outdoor activity space between buildings is

27、 shared by the elderly and the residents of the city.Our outdoor activity venue allows the elderly to enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities under the supervision of nursing staff.Take a rela*ing walk for the elderly,or manage flower beds,etc.The interior design focuses on multi-purpose hall(includin
