4、ich is structured around the four core English learning competencies stresses the importance of using various activities to integrate the language learning,cultural cultivation and thinking processes.The three phases of English leaning activity begin with learning and understanding activity,then mov
5、es to applying and practising activity,and,at the highest level,improves to transferring and creating activity.In the first phase,students mainly notice,acquire,sort and summarize what they learn.In the second phase,students need to elaborate on,analyse,internalize and then apply what they learn.In
6、the third phase,students criticize and evaluate what they learn and then make creations.Analysis of the teaching material 文本分析 The teaching material is taken from the 9B Unit 1 reading section of Oxford Press&Shanghai Education Press textbook.Genre and content:The genre of the text is a narration.Th
7、e content is about Zheng He and his great voyages.Language:The text is mainly presented in simple past tense,which is usual for this genre.Structure:The text is generally divided into two parts.In the first part,the writer introduces Zheng Hes basic information.In the second part,the writer tells re
8、aders about the great voyages,including the preparation and the achievements.Analysis of the students 学情分析 The students from junior 3 have already accumulated certain amount of linguistic knowledge for understanding the English text in this lesson.They have known about many famous people in their re
9、ading lessons,so they know the basic elements of a narration and have acquired the reading skills such as analyzing and summarizing.However,many students may not have read stories about Zheng He in detail,so they have no idea why Zheng He was a great explorer and why his voyages made great contribut
