4、 where did you go? W: I moved to New York and lived there for 6 years. Then I came to San Francisco and I have been here for 23 years.(Text 6) W: How about going out for dinner this evening, Peter? I know a nice and cheap restaurant called Starry House. Do you know Queen Road? M: Yes, I go to the bo

5、ok store in Stone Lane on Saturdays. Its just around the corner from Queen Road. W: You go down Queen Road and turn right when you come to South Street. Walk for 3 minutes and you can see it on your left. M: I see. What time shall we meet? Six oclock? W: No problem. Ill have a meeting this afternoon

6、 and it ends at half past five. Its only 15 minutes walk.- 2 -(Text 7) W: So, lets talk about how we can inform people of our concert. M: OK. What do you think about putting up notices? W: How about printing them out and giving them to students to take home instead? M: Thats a good idea. But what if

7、 someone takes them home and then forgets to give them to their parents? W: Oh, its a good question. OK, then, how about sending out emails to students and their parents? M: Thats the best idea!(Text 8) M: Linda, did you have a good game of baseball? W: Yes, thanks, Uncle Tom. M: Where did you play?

8、 At the stadium? W: We couldnt play there so we played in the park. Its good there, too. M: Oh! You like skating too, dont you? W: Yes, I do. Sometimes Mom comes too! We practice in the playground because were not good at it yet! M: Well, it sounds like you have fun! What about volleyball? W: Yes, I

9、 still play that too. My sister Nancy and I love playing on the beach best. M: Sounds great! (Text 9) W: Hey, David! Where are you heading? Your new apartment? M: Hi, its you, Jennifer. I just came back from an art exhibition in the city museum. Im going to the library now. W: Really? Is it good? M:

10、 Yeah, fairly good. You know I dont have any artistic ability, but I can appreciate the stuff there. There are portraits, oil paintings and watercolors. Its really amazing. W: What paintings do you like best? M: I would have to say oil paintings. Theyre just so colorful and vivid. W: Yeah. Thats wha

11、t I like most. But the traditional style is not my cup of tea. M: Yeah, Im a little tired of that style, too. Im crazy about art, and I wish that I were able to paint as well as those artists. You should go and have a look at this exhibition if you can afford a day. Its really great. W: Well, I was

12、just thinking about what to do for the weekend. Now youve given me a good idea. Im really looking forward to it. M: Trust me. Its worthwhile and the ticket is not expensive. W: OK.
