2、天住宿费用的东西，但是由于瞎子带领一伙海盗来进攻旅店，匆忙之间没有找出什么，只是在箱子底层找到了一个用油布裹得严严实实的小包。母子二人逃到屋外，幸好没被海盗们抓住。原来，油布小包中装的是海盗头子弗林特生前埋藏大批赃物财宝地点的岛上地图。比尔得到了这个地图，想要携图私逃，独吞这笔财富。不料还是被海盗们发现，跟踪而至。不过油布小包已被吉姆所得，海盗们扑了个空。当地的乡绅特里劳尼得知此事，在布里斯托尔买了一艘名叫埃斯班诺拉号的帆船，向金银岛出发了。船上有医生利夫西、船长斯莫利特，吉姆当了勤杂工。一切准备就序，但船上的炊事员约翰西尔弗却是个一只脚的瘸子。一天夜里，吉姆在苹果桶里听到了西尔弗和一些人正在

3、秘密策划，要在找到宝藏后举行叛乱。原来，西尔弗就是那个令人胆战心惊的“独腿水手”。他是弗林特手下的重要头目。船员已经有 19 个人是西尔弗一伙的海盗。而吉姆、医生利夫西他们一伙才只有 7 人。医生和船长商议以后，决定先发制人。这时，帆船已在金银岛附近的海面上抛锚停泊。船长宣布可以让多数船员上岸休息。同时，乘机把部分粮食、弹药运到岸上一所过去由海盗修建的弗林特木寨之中。他们放弃了帆船，打算借助于岸上的有利地形，固守在木寨里，抵御海盗。但淘气的吉姆没有和朋友们一道行动，却擅自和海盗们乘小艇上了岸。他离开朋友们后又感到害怕起来，因此，上岸后立刻避开了那伙强盗，跑进丛林之中。独自在丛林中盲目乱窜的吉姆

4、，忽然碰见了已经变得象野人一样的水手本冈恩。冈恩也曾经在弗林特手下做过海盗，后来在一条船上服务时被同伴们抛弃到这个荒无人烟的海岛上，迄今已有三年了。他告诉吉姆他已经掌握了宝藏的秘密，并恳求吉姆帮助他重回人类社会。吉姆离开冈恩后，找到了退守木寨的同伴，他们同心协力、奋勇拼杀，打退了海盗的进攻，打死打伤了一些海盗。这天晚上，求成心切的吉姆灵机一动，偷偷溜出木寨，驾着冈恩自制的木筏来到海上。退潮的海水把他的筏子推向帆船。岸上的亡命徒们正在大吃大喝，狂欢痛饮，看守帆船的两名海盗也在酒醉后互相厮杀，最后一死一伤。吉姆先割断了船锚的缆绳，后来又爬上无人操纵的帆船，设法将它驶至海岛的另一端，停泊在那里。不过

5、吉姆可绝对没预料到，当他不在木寨时，情况又发生了变化。原来，冈恩告诉了利夫西医生，他已经把埋藏的财宝挖了出来，并运到了他住的山洞里。于是，医生决定放弃木寨，搬到冈恩的山洞去住。这时，那张地图已变成无用的废物，于是，他们就把它交给了海盗们。他们走后，海盗们立刻占据了木寨。吉姆飘泊了一整天，第二天夜里，摸回木寨，正好落进了敌巢，强盗们由于死的死，病的病，只剩下六个人，他们这些人互相猜疑，争吵不休。老奸巨滑的西尔弗看出了形势不妙，他为了给自己留一条后路，便出面保护吉姆，不让别的海盗加害于他。西尔弗的手下群盗，为此非常愤怒，对西尔弗出示了“黑点”，西尔弗从怀中掏出宝藏的地图，才将他们的愤怒平息下去。天
