16、达的含义。如:a piece of cake表示事情非常简单、易于解决,相当于汉语的小菜一碟;小事一桩”;serves sb. right则相当于汉语说某人“活 该。5. Whoever drank this could live forever. whoever 意为“无论谁,不管什么人”。类似的词有:whatever 意为“无 论什么”,whenever意为无论何时,wherever意为“无论在哪里,however意为无论怎样”。它们等同于no matter + wh-”结构。Whoever drank this是主语从句,在句中作主语。(三)语法 感叹句感叹句是用来表达喜、怒、哀、乐等强
17、烈情感的句子。可由what和how引导。句末常用感叹号。what引导的感叹句(what用来修饰名词),常见结构如下:1. What + a/an +形容词+可数名词的单数形式(+主语+谓语)!如:What a kind woman (Mrs. Steen is)! What an interesting movie (it is)!2. What +形容词+可数名词的复数形式(+主语+谓语)!如:What lovely children (they are)!3. What +形容词+不可数名词(+主语+谓语)!如:What delicious food (it is)! What good
