1、定语从句可以用来修饰各种各样的句子成分。定语从句可以分为限定性定语从句和非限定性定语从句。区别是限定性定语从句和它所修饰的先行词关系更为紧密，是句子理解所必要的信息。非限定性定语从句即使没有也不会影响主要意思的理解，是非必须的。一. 基本规则说明姓名：定语从句（又名形容词性从句）功能：修饰名词，使名词更加形象具体原理：有相同部分的两个简单句的合并明确两个概念：先行词，后行词简单句扩展必备-定语从句例一：1. I am looking for a man.2. The man is rich,tall and handsome.I am looking for a man（ the man） i

2、s rich,tall and handsome.a man/the man 重复，后行词the man(指人) 转换为who例二：1. The book is written by Jane Austen.2. I am reading the book.The book(the book) I am reading is written by Jane Austenthe book 重复，后行词the book(指物) 转换为 that/which例三：1.He is the man.2.His wallet was lost.He is the man （the mans） wallet

3、 was lost.the man 重复，后行词his/her/their 等形容词性物主代词转换为whose例四：1. This is the village.2. I was born in the village.This is the village( in the village) I was born后行词是介词+表地点名词，替换为where.例五：1. I remember the day.2. On the day I join the club.I remember the day (on the day) I join the club.后行词是介词+表时间名词，替换为wh

For that reason he refused the offer.This is the reason (for that reason) he refused the offer.后行词是for this reason, 用why 替换。连句原始句子:Smart phoneby nature isjust an electronic device.
