1、Book2 Unit4 Stage and screenUsing language Learning Aims:Master the basic form of adverbial of present participle Use it flexibly in the context of the theme课前预习现在分词是非谓语动词的一种,兼有动词和形容词的特征,在句中可作表语,定语,宾语补足语和状语,一般表示进行或主动的意思。现在分词用作状语时,其逻辑主语必须与句子的主语一致,现在分词所表示的动作和句子的主语是主动关系。【感知语法规律】Turning around,I saw a c
2、ar driving up.Having sent her child to bed,she began to read the newspaper.Not knowing his telephone number,I couldnt get in touch with him.He came running back to tell me the news.Having been shown around the factory,they were very happy.【自主发现】1.句为-ing形式的一般式作状语。当-ing形式的动作与谓语动词的动作同时发生或几乎同时发生时,用一般式。2
3、.句为-ing形式的完成式作状语。当-ing形式的动作先发生,而谓语动词的动作后发生时,用完成式。3.句为-ing形式的否定式作状语。-ing形式的否定式是在它的前面加not。4.句为-ing形式的主动式。表示非谓语动词和句子的主语(分词的逻辑主语)之间为_关系。5.句为-ing形式的被动式。表示非谓语动词和句子的主语(分词的逻辑主语)之间为_关系。【即时训练】用所给词的适当形式填空The cooling wind swept through our bedroom windows, (make) air conditioning unnecessary.(work)for three hou

5、由连词when,while,after引出。Hearing the result(When I heard the result),I couldnt help jumping.听到这个结果,我不禁跳了起来。Having made full preparations(After we have made full preparations),we are ready for the examination.做了充分的准备之后,我们准备好参加考试。(1)分析句式 Seeing the police, he made a run for the exit. 一看到警察,他就朝出口奔去。分析:see
6、的动作是由其逻辑主语“_”发出,与句子的主语_一致,且构成_关系,所以用现在分词。(2)将下面的时间状语从句改写成简单句。When he walked out of the room, he saw a dog._2.原因状语 可以与as/since/because等引导的原因状语从句转换。Being so excited(As he was so excited),he couldnt go to sleep that night.由于非常激动,那晚他无法入睡。Having lived in the city for many years(Since I had lived in the c
7、ity for many years),I knew it well.因为在这个城市住了许多年,所以我对它很了解。(1)分析句式 Being ill, he didnt go to school yesterday. 因为生病了,他昨天没有上学。_是He didnt go to school的原因。be的_和_-是一致, _动关系。(2)翻译句子:由于不识路,他迷路了。As he _, he got lost.=_, he got lost.3.条件状语 可以与if/unless等引导的条件状语从句转换。Working hard at your lessons(If you work hard
8、 at your lessons),you will succeed.如果你努力学习,就会成功。Not making good use of the time(If you dont make good use of the time),youll regret.如果不好好利用时间,你会后悔的。(1)_ the left, you will see a school.若是你左转,你就会看到一所学校。(2)翻译句子:努力学习, 我们就会取得好成绩。If we _, we will get good results.=_4.方式或伴随状语 不可以转换成从句,但可以转换成并列句。The girls
9、came into the classroom,singing and dancing(and they sang and danced).女孩子们唱着跳着进了教室。I stood there,waiting for her.(I stood there and waited for her.)我站在那儿等她。用现在分词作状语的结构翻译下列句子。(1) 请你用另一种方式回答问题。(use another way)_(2) 他躺在草地上,凝望天空。He lay on the grass and _the sky. =_5.结果状语表示必然的结果,它常常位于句末,可扩展为一个含有并列谓语的简单句,
