7、utwhen a group of would-be-enemies discover a lost human baby,woolymammoth(RayRomano),saber-toothed tiger(Dennis Leary),and giant sloth(JohnLeguizamo)must work along side each other in a journey to return the child toitshome.Visually,Ice Age is perhaps the poorest bit of CGI I have ever seen.Contras

8、ted to the beautiful constructs of Monsters,Inc.;or even thegooey,gloppy creativity of Shrek;Ice Age is nothing but badly renderedpolygons andAcme animated characters.No hint of photo-realism here.It s likeparing aBugs Bunny Cartoon to The Lion King.Actually,I suspect that isexactly whatthe folks at

9、 Ice Age were going for.Ice Age isreally little more than acollection of silly animal gagsandLeguizamo one liners.Some of them are even quite funny.If that isall thatwere going for here,then I suppose Im all for it.But then thereare thesestrange attempts at gut wrenching sappiness,which fall painful

10、lyflat amidstsub-video game animation.Frankly,Im not even sure the CGI theyuse here is upto the task of displaying the kinds of emotions these people are tryingtoillicit from their characters.The humans more closely resemble totempoles thanthey do living,breathing,creatures.Its laughable watching th

11、eirpolygon-limited faces trying to emote in response to the storysattempts atheartfelt,soft touches.Thankfully,the main characters are animals,which are at leastbearablyrendered to slapstick fun levels.As a result,what slapstick thereis,ishighly entertaining.Sure,Ray Romanos vocal talents arentparti

12、cularlyspectacular.But Dennis Leary and the always-odd John Leguizamo coverfor hismammoth ineptitude without hesitation.The story itself is bland,boring,and uninspired,as is the almostlaughably bad animation.The films only real saving graces are someslapstickside trips into the world of an unlucky s

30、urvive.We wont live without money,with which we get food,clothes,house andmany other necessities.But we must know that there are many thingswhich cantbe bought with money such as love or friendship.So in my opinion,money may beimportant to us,but not the most important.We need to build up thecorrectsense of money.To sum up,this story is a really good work of Mark Twain.The lessonIvelearnt from it makes me want to be an honest man sincerely and letsme not toworship money too much.I begin to regret not reading it earlier.
