12、t,it already had a big reputation.This was because it was the most expensive Chinese movie in history.Many people have compared it to Couching Tiger,Hidden Dragon (CTHD)because they are both traditional wuxia stories and martial arts films and they are also both extremely successful.(1).(2).At this

13、time in history,China was divided into seven smaller kingdoms.For many years,the kings of these different states fought against one another.Since the states were always at war,it was a time of great suffering for the population.(3).But he had three powerful enemies,the assassins(刺客)Broken Sword,Flyi

14、ng Snow and Sky.The King offered a prize to the person who killed these three people.In a complex and dramatic plot,a master of the martial arts called Nameless defeats the King s enemies.But the King refuses to believe the story told by Nameless and the things become difficult for the solitary figh

15、ter.(4).International martial arts star Jet Li plays the strange swordsman Nameless and he acts brilliantly.The King s enemies are played by lovely Maggie Cheung(Flying Snow)with her frequent co-star and talented actor Tony Leung(Broken Sword)and the less well-known actor and martial arts Donnie Yen

16、(Sky).Hero is more than just an action film.It is a work of art.The acting is great and the Kung Fu combats and the special effects are among the best ever produced anywhere.(5).It is a moving and beautiful film which is worth seeing on a big screen than on DVD.Zhang Yimou s film is a true masterpiece.
