18、 one,butlater became bitter.Two sisters,Mildred Hill,a teacher at a kindergarten,andDr.Patty Hill,the principal of the same school,wrote a song together for thechildren,entitled“Good Morning to All.When Mildred combined her musicaltalents with her sisters knowledge in the area of kindergarten educat
19、ion,Good Morning to All was sure to be a success.The sister published the songin a collection entitled“Song Stories of the Kindergarten in 1893.Thirty-oneyears later,after Dr.Patty Hill became the head of the Department ofKindergarten Education at Columbia Universitys Teachers College,agentleman by
20、the name Robert Coleman published the song,without thesisters permission.He added a second part,which is the familiar“HappyBirthday to You.Mr.Colemans addition of the second part made the songpopular and,finally,the sisters original first part disappeared.Happy Birthdayto You had altogether replaced
