Analysis of material and studentsThe text type is a short story, which introduces the story between two friends who have the promise to meet after twenty years. This story use the O.Henry ending which makes the story dramatic, surprising and ironic.
2、 The story reveals the conflict between friendship and responsibility, justice and honesty.High school students have a certain language knowledge. However, they lacks the ability of analyzing and generalizing which need more practice. The text contains much detailed descriptions which could help stu
