8、ants, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. i feel it a great honor to have this opportunity sharing my opinion of the green olympics with you. in august ,2023, as the delegate of chinese teenagers, i participated in the olympic youth camp. from it, i learnt and got a lot. in athens, i was not only in

9、toxicated on its long history and the deep humanity, but also impressed by the citizens environmental awareness and shocked by the passion of the locals for environmental protection. with fewer metropolitan dins can be found in athens, the streets are neat indeed, for you will see no wastes on the r

10、oad there. moreover, i seldom saw cleaners in athens, which impressed me very strongly. because what this phenomenon reflected is a kind of quality, character and also a sense of responsibility about the environment. which means, keeping the city clean is not only a governmental behavior, but a habi

11、t in the daily life of every athenians. i still remember the picture that, an old lady took great trouble to bent over for picking up a piece of newspaper and sent it into a dustbin. when i asked why she did such hard work with her age.: why not? she said, just so simple. up to now, this picture sti

12、ll clearly exists in my mind for its embodied environmental consciousness and a national spirit. throughout the days in athens, there were a series of educational activities about environment. in those items, we were working in groups discussing environmental problems of different aspects and also s

13、eeking the solutions. in addition, the items consisted of speeches of officers of local ngos and the childrens paintings exhibition as well. at the end of the activity, having reached common understanding, each of us has submitted suggestions and measures dealing with the promotion of the implement

14、of sustainable development. i have to say, this series of activities really benefited me a great deal. therefore, i have thought of beijing, thought of the year2023. green olympics is one of three major ideas of running the 2023 olympic games. the main intension of this creed is to prepare and host

15、olympic games under the guidance of sustainable development. and at the same time, try hard to improve the environmental quality of the capital. actualy in beijing today. the sandstorm is coming rare and rare, and the greenery area is keeping increasing year by year. no one can deny that these chang

16、es are the result of all the beijingers efforts. it obviously states that through the application and the preparation for 2023, the beijingers environmental awareness has been strengthened greatly. but as the case stands, we still have a long way to go. as a middle school student of a new era, we sh

17、ould take part in environmental protection and the implement of sustainable development more widely and extensively. indeed, environmental protection should start from dribs and drabs, but it is not enough only to stay on the surface. we have to realize todays environmental problems more objectively

18、 and deeply .and we have to find out the obstruction and the danger we are facing. further more, only by considering the environmental problem as the point of sustainable development and globalization, shall we be able to arouse our consciousness and enthusiasm. i firmly believe that we will make th

21、的历史和深厚的人文，我更多地有感于当地人的环境意识，震撼于他们对环保的热忱。 雅典的街道尽管少了大都市的喧嚣，但非常整齐，路面上没有任何废物。此外，在雅典我很少见到保洁人员，这对我触动很大。因为这现象所体现的是一种素养，一种作为市民的对于环境的责任感。可见，在雅典，环境的保洁已然不仅是政府行为，而真正成为了每一个雅典人的习惯。 一次我们外出参观，见一位老妇人吃力地弯腰捡起一张被风吹到脚下的报纸，并将其投入垃圾箱。当我上前询问这样做有何理由时，老人的回答是：为什么不呢？这句话让我回味至今，这情景也让我感受良多。正如观滴水可识江海，这一平凡邂逅所体现出的环境意识乃至民族精神着实引人深思。 在我们的

22、青年营活动中始终贯穿着一系列关于环保的教化活动。活动中，全部的营员以小组为单位，就不同层面的环境问题绽开探讨，寻求解决方法，并最终达成共识。活动中还时常支配有当地环境组织官员的演讲和孩子们的图画作品展。活动结束时我们每人还提出了一份关于实施可持续发展的建议和措施，并在营员中绽开了沟通。这一系列活动让我受益匪浅。 由此，我想到了北京，想到了2023。 绿色奥运是北京举办2023年奥运会的三大理念之一。其主要内涵是在可持续发展思想的指导下筹备和举办奥运会，提高首都环境质量。 放眼今日的北京，沙尘天气已是罕见，绿地面积也在逐年增加。不行否认，这些改变是全部北京人共同努力的结果。它也说明通过申办和筹备

23、奥运，北京人的环境意识已大大增加。然而较之于一些国家，我们还有差距。 我认为作为新时代的中学生，我们应更广泛、更深化地参与到爱护环境和实施可持续发展的绿色行动中。诚然，环保要从点滴做起，但在我看来仅停留在不运用一次性筷子、捡拾废弃物的层面是不够的。作为实现绿色奥运生力军，我们应更客观、更深化地对当今的环境问题有所了解，并以全球化及可持续发展的角度相识环境问题及其对我国发展的阻碍和对人类生存的危害，从而真正唤起我们的主子意识和爱护环境的热忱。而这则须要生态教化的进一步深化和更多实践活动的开展。我坚信，通过我们的共同努力，绿色将不再遥远。 此刻，我有一个幻想。 我幻想有一天，地球将没有污染； 我幻

25、mals cry? do you know what makes them cry? its the polluted world, a dirty world, caused by our irresponsible behaviors, that makes those lovely animals cry. many of us are smart enough to know how terrible it is to have a world without animals and plants. but some people still persist in making the

26、 same errors and harming the environment. whats worse is that people are eating wild animals. those people dont know, and more importantly, they dont want to know. this kind of behavior has caused some specific problems. for example, medical experts have suggested that eating wild animals helped spr

27、ead the terrible disease sars. now, our world is no longer clean and beautiful. why? because air, water, and noise pollution has become more and more serious. noise pollution makes us talk more loudly and become angry more easily. water pollution makes our rivers and lakes very dirty. air pollution

28、is the most serious kind of pollution. both air pollution and water pollution are not only dangerous to our health, but also dangerous to animals and plants. were destroying our only world. a large number of trees have been cut down, so a lot of lands have been turned into deserts. pollution can be

29、seen everywhere! unquestionably it is essential that we clean up our environment. sadly, weve not always appreciated the importance of protecting the environment. on the streets, you can see cars producing smog. in the bathrooms, you can see students leaving the water tap on after using them. not on

30、ly the young people, but also the elderly ones throw things everywhere without thinking its wrong, even in a beautiful park. these things are taking place every day, even in modern cities like beijing. we cant do that any more. we must learn how to protect the environment. if everyone is aware of pr

31、otecting it instead of destroying it, the world can become cleaner, more beautiful, and more peaceful. the theme of beijing 2023 olympic games is new peking, new olympic. its the target owned by every chinese. we should try our best to improve beijings environment for olympics. , lets begin to act!

32、first, start with the things around you. dont throw rubbish onto the road. dont talk loudly when you are outdoors. turn off the water tap after using it. go to school by bike or by bus instead of by private car. save your pocket money and contribute to environmental protection organizations. take me

33、 as an example, i take action in order to make our only world full of happiness. i pick up rubbish and throw it into a trashcan. i collect waste paper or bottles for recycling. i plant more trees and flowers, and so on. if you do all these things just like me, it means you have done something useful
