21、ing Europe,where it becamepopular in places like France,Belgium and the Netherlands.So how does it work?Louise Hartley,who is leading the TinyForest project in the UK,explains that the process begins byidentifying areas in which a tiny forest could have the biggestinfluence.We focus on urban areas w
22、here access to nature is oftennot that easy,“says Hartley.tcWe see it as a chance to try to breakthe growing disconnect between people and nature.In a Tiny Forest,there must be a minimum of 600 trees,and thetrees are planted much closer together and without chemicals orfertilisers(月 巴 料).There are u
23、sually around 30 different kinds ofall-native tree species(物 种).This variety,coupled with the fact thattiny forests grow up to ten times faster than standard forests,meansthey attract a rich abundance of wildlife.Its also thought that theseplaces could help reduce the risk of flooding,remove carbon
