3、 of the reading passage. So its unnecessary to spend time to introduce the background knowledge. Since they have learnt some basic reading skills, it would be an easy job for they to grasp the main idea of the passage by skimming as well as find some specific information by scanning. But they are li
4、kely to be puzzled by a large amount of historical details in the passage. So it is important to help they make a clear understanding by giving them a tree map. As a senior high school student who has the ability to express themselves simply in English, it would be necessary and beneficial for them
5、to be given an oral task in class. In order to教学活动详情help the students have a deep impression of the reading passage and be ready for their homework which is an imitative writing, they will be asked to retell ihe history and development of English language in the post-reading part.重点、难点Teaching focus
