4、,in that,for等。1.Because-因为,如：Mr Smith was very upset because he couldnt find his luggage.2.As-因为,通常放在句首，如：As he is honest and modest,all his friends like him.3.Since-语气较弱,常译为既然，如：Since the purser didnt tell us what to do,we can relax.4.Now that-既然，如：Now that you are here,you can join us.5.For-语气最弱，不

5、放句首，表补充说明，如：The ground was wet,for it rained yesterday.考点 4：引导让步状语从句的从属连词 although,though,even if,even though,as,whether or,no matter what/who/how/when,whatever,whoever,however,whenever 等。1.Although,though-虽然；although 常放在句首。though 可以用于倒装。如：Although it was raining,the plane managed to take off.Child

6、though he was,he did quite well.2.As-尽管；as 引导让步状语从句时，句子通常倒装。可与 though 互换。如：Busy as he is,he never misses a football match.3.Even if/even though-即使 如：Even if you dont like your boss,you should do your work.4.However-不论，however 引导让步状语从句时，句子通常倒装。如：He couldnt get there on time however fast he drove.5.No

7、 matter(what,when,where,how)-无论（什么，何时，何地，怎样）如：The old man wouldnt beli eve anything no matter what you said.6.While-尽管 如：While I have sympathy for you,I cant help you.7.Whether-不管，常与or not 连用;如Whether his idea is practical or not,we plans to adopt it.考点 5：引导条件状语从句的从属连词 if,unless,as long as,so long a

10、面应用形容词或副词；如：The flight scheduled so early that nobody wanted to look on it.2.Such that-太 以至于,用法与 sothat 相同，但 such 后面应用名词。如：The foreign visitor was such a fast speaker that nobody could understand him.考点 7：引导目的状语从句的从属连词 so that,in order that,for fear that,in case等。1.(So)that-以便,从句中常常使用一些情态动词，如：can,co

11、uld,may,might,should 等 Lets take the front seats(so)that we may see more clearly.2.in order that-为了,与 so that 相同,从句中常常使用一些情态动词，如：can,could,may,might,should 等。如：School was closed early in order that the children might go home ahead of the storm.3.for fear that-生怕;为了防止;如：He took the name down for fear

12、 that he should forget it.4.in case -万一 如：Better take more clothes in case the weather is cold.考点 8：引导比较状语从句的从属连词 as as,not as as,not so as,than 等。1.Asas-像 一样 如：If you dont want to miss the flight,you need to be at the airport as early as possible.2.Not so(as)as-不像 如：The job is not so difficult as I
