8、,in 1756.Before the ageof four,he had shown great musical talent.Hisfather then decided to let him start takingharpsichord lessons.The boys reputation as amusical talent grew fast.At five,he wascomposing music.Form that time on,Mozartwas performing n concerts and writing music.By his early teens,he
9、had mastered the piano,violin and harpsichord,and was writingsymphonies and operas.His first major operawas performed in Milan in 1770,when he wasonly fourteen.At fifteen,Mozart became theconductor for an orchestra in Salzburg.In1781,he left for Vienna,where he was in greatdemand as both a performer
10、 and a compositionteacher.His first opera was a success.But lifewas not easy because he was a poorbusinessman,and his finances were always ina bad state.His music from the next decadewas not very popular,and he eventually fellback on his teaching jobs for a living.In 1788he stopped performing in pub

22、orthe children,entitled Good Morning to All”.When Mildred combined her musical talentswith her sisters knowledge in the area ofkindergarten education,Good Morning toAll“was sure to be a success.The sisterpublished the song in a collection entitled“Song Stories of the Kindergarten in 1893.Thirty-one
23、years later,after Dr.Patty Hillbecame the head of the Department ofKindergarten Education at ColumbiaUniversitys Teachers College,a gentleman bythe name Robert Coleman published the song,without the sisters5 permission.He added asecond part,which is the familiar“HappyBirthday to You.Mr.Colemans addi
