On the one side new things emerge

People need new knowledge to keep up with what is going on technologically around us for new things will take the place of the relatively old ones due to their superior performances. On the other side new jobs new concepts and new ideas urge people to learn more
6、about them for society is changing fast in a technological way. Office clerks are demanded to use updated computer programs to deal with the files. They also need to know a foreign language as they have to tackle international emails online. Todays office jobs are quite demanding. I think that for c
7、ollege students graduation from college is only one of the stops in life. People especially the young need to learn new skills and ideas to be competitive in modem society. They argue that people who want us to listen m symphonies arc advocating a kind 0fH elite culture0. This notion is un accptable to pop music fans for they dont believe that symphonies are loftier t
14、han pop music. The difference only lies in the interests of different people. It is unfiarr m speak of pop music with contempt while speaking of symphonies with awe. In conclusion my idea is that just as there is no distinction between high culture and low culture so it is inappropriate to say pop m
15、usic belongs to the lower people whereas symphonies is a higher loftier form of music. After all there are many badly- composed symphonies.
