The animals such as the bird in the picture also need the trees for survival. In the second place if too many tr
21、ees are cut down then there will be few forests which act like a giant sponge absorbing rainfall and preventing it from running away into rivers. In other words a forest helps to stabilize the soil being eroded and silting up rivers and lakes. Otherwise floods might happen. Last but not least there
22、is only one earth on which we live. If our environment is not well protected we humans will find it hard to survive. Since this phenomenon causes so many harmful effects we have to come up with some measures to deal with it. First of all the authorities should adopt the policy of sustainable develop
