However, before writing, we must know something about news reports. What is the aim of news reports? What is the struct

News reports are mostly made up of four parts:

T guides the Ss to explore the steps of writing news reports.T: After learning so much about news report, it s time for us to think about howto write a

10、news report.Ss: Before writing, choose one area of news, pick an event in this area and nail down the topic.And then search for the information we need. Finally write down the news report and pay attention to the features of each essential part of a news report.2. T asks the Ss to work in groups and

11、 choose one area of news and pick an event in the area. What area of news will you choose? What event will you report?3. T asks each group to nail down their topic. T leads the Ss to appreciate an example of news report and analyze the features of news reports.2 .Tguides the Ss to find out the function of using quotes in a news report.【设计意图通过整体感知一篇新闻报道示例，理论结合实际，便于学生更好地了解新闻倒金字塔的叙述结构以及新闻事件报道的特征。能够依葫芦画瓢，模仿练笔。Step 5 Wri t

16、ing newsreport.T asks Ss to write their own news report.T: Try to apply the features and tips to your writing.【设计意图】：这是输出环节，基于之前环节的信息输入，学生们大致知道如何模仿着示例动笔， 同时，因为project提前布置了查阅信息的任务，课堂上以小组为单位，合作完成写作，锻炼学 生小组合作能力。Step 6 Presen tingT asks Ss to present their news report and pay attention to their pronunci

17、ation and speed.T: After you have finished, It stimefor the editor to check and evaluate your news report. One group present their news report, other groups act as the editors, evaluate and comment on their news in the matter of their performance and content.【设计意图】：这是第二课时，展示环节有助于提高学生表达能力、增强他们的自信心。小组评价量化处理，有助于学生关注这些得分点，通过其他同学的评价，学生容易发现自己的问 题和不足，以便后期修改并获得提升。V.
