3、nd linguistic features of a magazine, and use these language to describe some famous athletes they admire;6. improve their thinking qualities of rational thinking and objective judgment.教学 主题该板块的活动主题题是“选择你最喜欢的运动员(Choose your favourite athlete),文本提供了 活动的情境，即某杂志社请读者来信选举自己心目中的“体育界的活传奇”(Living Legends o

4、f Sports)o要求学生在理解语篇信息的基础上，总结评选标准，推荐自己心目中的体育明星，并 给出推荐的理由。该活动旨在培养学生理性思考和客观评判的思维品质。教学 重点1 .引导学生通过标题和插图预测文本内容，理解文本信息和结构；2 .帮助学生掌握和运用描述优秀运动员品质的词汇，体会这些真正杰出的运动员作为模范和榜 样的力量。教学 难点1 .引导学生体会杂志文章的语言特色，思考语言表达的作用。2 .培养学生理性思考和客观评判的思维品质。3 .引导学生运用所学知识谈论自己喜欢的明星。教 学 内 容 与 过 程Lead-inBrainstorming：让学生谈谈他们最崇拜的体育明星，导入本节课的

5、话题。Step 1 Pre-readingPrediction让学生看教材P38上的图片、标题、小标题以及版式，然后判断文本的体裁并预测文 章的内容。Step 2 While-readingTask 1： Extensive reading让学生快速阅读全文，验证对文本内容的预测，梳理文章结构并概括段落大意。备注Task 2： Intensive reading(1)让学生完成教材P39上活动2,明确S、I、E分别代表的含义，然后初步判断六 个陈述句的类型，最后回到文本，通过阅读做出合理判断。(2)让学生完成教材P39上活动3,再次阅读文章，回答问题。Step 3 Post-readingTa

6、sk 1：Discussion(1)让学生完成教材P39上活动4,分组讨论，评估作者所提供的论据是否有足够的 说服力，然后有理有据地选出自己心目中的体育传奇人物。(2)让学生分组谈谈他们从这些体育传奇人物中学到了什么。Task 2：Language appreciation(1)让学生找出文章中运用的修辞手法的句子，思考语言表达的作用。(2)让学生完成教材P39上活动5,总结文章中描述优秀运动员个性、成就及经历的 词汇，并试着运用这些词汇描述他们崇拜的体育明星。Step 4 Homework1. Practise the words and expressions learned in this class.2. Write a short paragraph to describe the athlete you admire. Pay attention to use words and figure of speeches we have learned today.
